Hi there!

I hope you're doing well. My name is Sue.

A little bit about me...

I grew up on a farm in rural Canada and love to paint and go (indoor) rock climbing in my spare time.

I'm 24 years old but I act like I'm 35 and look like I'm 16. Long story short, I spent the past 15 years of my life struggling with anxiety, depression and self destructive behaviour. I received misdiagnosis's, was tossed around by our broken health care system and never really received the care I needed.

My shelter was reading, drawing and learning. Thus, I became very self aware at a young age but my refuges would always be the magical worlds in my head.

My life changed when I got a neuropsychological evaluation at the age of 22. I discovered I was twice exceptional with ADHD and a likely autism spectrum diagnosis. After the diagnosis, everyone reacted differently. For some, it seemed obvious or unimpressive.

For me, a diagnosis gave me my strength. It allowed me to seek the accommodations and medication that makes me a functional human being.

Today, I can honestly say that I've never been happier.

Every article I write is thoroughly researched and sourced, foremost, for my own entertainment. Secondly, to make sure others can learn the things I struggled to understand. I want to make honest information as accessible as possible.
